What Cite Forward Is
Cite Forward is an independent publication covering AI tools for research, writing, and professional work. We publish tool reviews, comparisons, and practical guides aimed at people who need AI to actually work — researchers, students, writers, and professionals evaluating what’s worth their time and money.
Who We Serve
Our primary audience is researchers and academic writers navigating AI-assisted literature review, citation verification, and scientific writing — alongside a broader readership of professionals evaluating AI tools for writing, SEO, productivity, and business use. If you’ve ever had to decide whether an AI tool is actually worth adopting, this site is for you.
Why This Site Exists
Most AI tool content online is written by people who have never used the tools in a real professional or academic context. Cite Forward exists to close that gap: content grounded in actual research about how these tools perform, what they cost, and where they fall short — not marketing copy dressed up as a review.
How Content Is Produced
Our current evaluation process is research-based: we compare official documentation, published pricing, publicly available benchmarks, and user-reported experiences across multiple sources before publishing an assessment. We are working toward direct hands-on testing for future reviews. The full detail of our process is on our Methodology page.
How Sources Are Selected
We prioritize primary sources — official tool documentation, company pricing pages, peer-reviewed research, and government or institutional sources — over secondary aggregators. Every factual claim in our articles is expected to trace back to a real, checkable source.
Affiliate Relationships
Cite Forward does not currently run affiliate links. Our only monetization is Google AdSense display advertising. If this changes in the future, any affiliate relationship will be clearly disclosed on the relevant page, and it will never determine which tools we recommend.
